Terms of Service
Last updated: 31 August 2026
Draft, pending review. These terms cover a free private beta. They are deliberately short, because there is nothing to bill and nothing to lock you into. They have not yet been through legal review, and values shown like this are still to be confirmed.
1. Who you are agreeing with
StoreInsights ("the service", "we") is operated by [legal entity — to confirm], registered at [registered address — to confirm]. By creating an account or connecting a store, you accept these terms. If you do not, do not connect a store — the demo is open to everyone regardless and requires no agreement.
The service is for businesses. If you use it, you are doing so in a professional capacity, on behalf of a company you are entitled to bind.
2. This is a beta
Say it plainly: StoreInsights has not launched. Features appear, change and occasionally disappear. Screens are rebuilt. Figures are recomputed as calculations get corrected.
We do not promise availability. There is no uptime commitment, no service level agreement, no guaranteed support response time, and no promise that a feature present today will be there next month. Maintenance may happen without notice.
3. The figures are decision support, not accounts
StoreInsights computes estimates from what Shopify and Meta return and from the costs you enter yourself. Those inputs can be wrong, late, or incomplete — an API can fail, a cost can be out of date, a platform can restate its own numbers.
The dashboard is not accounting, tax, financial or investment advice and is not a substitute for your books. Do not file anything on the strength of it. Payment-processor fees, refunds and VAT are not currently deducted from the profit figure. Business decisions you take on the basis of these numbers are yours.
4. Your account and your connections
- Keep your credentials to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Only connect stores and ad accounts you are authorised to connect.
- You keep every right in your own data. Connecting a store grants us permission to read it in order to run the service for you, and nothing else — see the privacy policy.
- You can disconnect a store or close your account at any time, and ask us to delete the data.
5. Acceptable use
Do not: resell or white-label the service without our written agreement; try to break, overload or reverse-engineer it; use it to process data you have no right to process; or use it to do anything unlawful.
We may suspend an account that is doing any of the above, or that is putting the service or other users at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first.
6. Price during the beta
The beta is free. There is no billing in the product, no card on file, and nothing renews. If and when we introduce paid plans, we will tell existing beta users before anything is charged, and no account will be charged without agreeing to it first.
7. Shopify, Meta and other third parties
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Shopify or Meta. Their APIs, quotas and policies are theirs to change, and such a change can degrade or interrupt part of the service through no fault of ours. Your use of their platforms is governed by your agreements with them.
8. Warranties and liability
The service is provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. Since the beta is free, our aggregate liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us — which is nothing.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer or data protection law.
9. Ending it
You can stop whenever you like: disconnect your stores, close your account, and ask for deletion. We can end the beta, or your access to it, at any time — if we do, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data before it is deleted.
10. Changes to these terms
We will update this page as the product changes, and the date at the top will say when. For a change that materially affects you, we will notify account holders by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by [governing law — to confirm], and disputes fall to the courts of [competent courts — to confirm]. Before either of us goes near a court, write to us — most of what looks like a dispute is a misunderstanding about a number.
12. Contact
